Terms and Conditions

The session fee pays for photographer’s time and creativity. Digitals, prints and products are purchased separately. There are no returns on digital, prints, or products, no exceptions. All sales are final. Full payment or deposits for sessions are due when you book the appointment to hold your spot. Any deposit paid is non-refundable if cancelled. If full payment was made at booking the amount minus deposit amount for that session will be refunded if given more than 24hrs in advance notice. Session may be rescheduled once by you. Please notify me 24hrs in advance to reschedule. If weather is not cooperating, we will gladly reschedule, this does not count if you need to reschedule for personal reasons.

The Federal Copyright Law protects copyright. It is unlawful to copy or scan any images without permission of the photographer. The photographer owns the copyright to the image even if the image is of you or your child. The photographer retains the copyright and ownership of all images of the photo session and reserves the right to reproduce images for portfolio, studio display, gallery display, website, self-promotion, photo contests, etc. This includes taking screen shots of gallery images and displaying them on social media until that digital image has been purchased.

Model Release:

You consent that the photographs taken and presented by this photographer of you or your child may be used by Laura Yount Photography, for the purpose of display, portfolio, advertising, website or publication to promote the studio or her. You agree that the images can be used without additional compensation to the undersigned. You are of full age and have the right to contract in your own name. You have read and fully understand the contents of this release. This release shall be binding upon me and my heirs, legal representatives, and assigns. You have legal authority to grant these permissions and you accept all responsibilities for such.

Limited Liability:

If the photographer cannot perform this agreement due to a fire or other casualty, strike, act of nature or other cause beyond the control of the parties involved (including inclement weather), or due to illness of photographer, then any deposit will be returned to the client, but the photographer shall have no further liability with respect to the agreement. If the client wishes, another sitting can be scheduled. This limitation on liability shall also apply in the event that photographic materials are damaged in processing, lost through camera malfunction, lost in the mail, or otherwise lost or damaged without fault on the part of the photographer. In such cases of outside circumstances, the photographer is not liable, and the client shall only be entitled to a refund of their deposit and sitting fee (if paid to the photographer).
